At Mister Car Wash we are committed to protecting the environment and the communities in which we live and do business.
We use state-of-the-art car wash technology that allows us to reduce the number of chemicals used during the car wash process and reclaim, filter and reuse water.
Washing your car in the driveway can put harmful chemicals and pollutants into our local streams and waterways. Getting your car washed at a professional car wash not only uses less water, but we also filter out pollutants before sending used water to reclaim facilities.
- Washing at Home vs. Professional Car Washes
When you wash your car at home, the runoff goes right into storm drains and eventually into rivers, streams, creeks and wetlands where it can be poisonous to aquatic life and upsets the ecosystem. Home washing also uses up to 3 times more water than a professional car wash.
- Flow Rates: Less is More
Less is truly more in many of our applications. Take air bubbles in foam, for example. Soapy water injected with air increases the apparent volume of the flow rate when in reality we’ve improved the efficacy of our water usage by expanding the surface area.
- Reclaiming Water
We actively process and treat water previously used in the wash cycle for use in the wash process again. On average we re-use 14 gallons of water per car. As reclaim technology improves in sophistication, we will continuously work towards ways to reclaim even more water.
- Filtration
Removing the suspended solids from the water allows us to re-use the water in various cleaning applications such as prep guns and wheel washers.
